The Bowman County Roads Department is responsible to provide a safe, well-maintained county road and bridge system that will ensure reliable and convenient access for county residents, and to promote economic development of the area.

RESOLUTION

BOWMAN COUNTY

BOWMAN, NORTH DAKOTA

REMOVAL OF HAY

WHEREAS, the Bowman County Commission has the authority under N.D.C.C. 24-05-23 and N.D.C.C. 24-05-24 to develop and implement rules governing the disposal of any stored hay or other obstruction placed on the right of way for a county highway/road,

BE IT RESOLVED, therefore the county commission has developed the following rules for disposal of hay stored in the county/road right of ways:

The storage of hay after October 23rd of each year will be deemed an encroachment on the highway/road right of way for which it is stored;
That the county shall follow the procedure outlined in N.D.C.C. 24-05-03 for removal of encroachments within the highway/road right of way in order to remove any hay stored within the right of way after October 23;
That the cost of the removal of such hay shall be taxed against the land for the ensuing year pursuant to N.D.C.C. 24-05-03;
