Bowman County State's Attorney

The State's Attorney is an elected official in Bowman County. The office of the State’s Attorney is responsible for prosecuting all criminal matters, aid juvenile court in their actions for juvenile delinquencies, act as legal counsel for Social Services in child deprivations and parental termination cases; provide legal service to the county commissioners and various county departments; reviewing petitions in mental health commitments and act as attorney for petitioner in cases in which the commitments are initiated at the law enforcement or medical personal to due emergency circumstances; administration and policy functions of the State's Attorney’s office; and provide guidance and training to law enforcement agencies within Bowman County.

The State’s Attorney does not provide Private-Civil Legal Advice to the public. The State’s Attorney is the legal advisor to the County Commission and to the respective offices, as well as the Criminal Prosecutor for the County.
